1. Data controller
The data controller for personal data collected through www.mogam.it is Progeco S.r.l., based in Via Etnea 54, 95030 Tremestieri Etneo (CT), Italy. For questions about the museum and the site's content you can write to [email protected] or call +39 346 6245514.
2. Data collected and purpose of processing
The site has no contact forms, user accounts, newsletter or e-commerce features: it does not collect personal data that visitors provide voluntarily.
2.1 Browsing data
In the course of normal operation, the site's computer systems and software procedures acquire certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols (for example IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time of the request). This data is processed by the hosting provider solely for the security and correct operation of the site, and is not associated with identified individuals.
2.2 Usage statistics
We use Umami, a statistics service running on our own server (analytics.claudiosaitta.it), to count page views in aggregate, anonymous form. Umami does not use cookies, does not track visitors across different websites, and does not allow individuals to be identified. For this reason the service runs without requiring consent, in line with the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021.
2.3 Third-party content available on request
Some pages may show, only after the visitor's explicit consent, content provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (the museum's Facebook page widget, on the home page) and by Google Ireland Limited (the map on the Contacts page). 3. Legal basis for processing
Processing of browsing data (point 2.1) is based on the controller's legitimate interest in the security and correct operation of the site (Art. 6.1.f GDPR). The anonymous statistics (point 2.2) do not constitute processing of personal data attributable to the user. Third-party content (point 2.3) is processed on the basis of the user's specific consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), which can be withdrawn at any time.
4. Disclosure and transfer of data
Browsing data is processed by the site's hosting provider. If you enable the third-party content described in point 2.3, your IP address and other technical data from your device are transmitted to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and/or Google Ireland Limited, both based in the European Union; these providers may in turn transfer data to their respective parent companies in the United States, under transfer frameworks recognised by the European Commission (standard contractual clauses). We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data retention
Browsing data is retained by the hosting provider only for as long as necessary to ensure the security of the service, and in any case not beyond the terms set by law. Umami statistics are aggregated and do not allow individual visitors to be identified. Your consent choice for third-party content remains stored in your browser (see the Cookie Policy) until you delete it or clear your browsing data.
6. Your rights
As a data subject, you have the right to ask the data controller, where applicable, for access to your personal data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of the processing concerning you, or to object to its processing, as well as the right to data portability. You can exercise these rights by writing to the contacts listed in point 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
